From broken to whole

She cracked the code — in her own family first

A dysfunctional, separated family that could not connect — to her, or her to them. A child diagnosed with ADHD and autism, on medication, in special education. As a hospital psychiatrist, she watched suicidal children fail to get better in a system that locked them down, forced medications, and treated them inhumanely.
